50-year professional trajectory
The firm’s founding partner graduated from Universidad Católica de Chile obtaining his law degree in 1968. Subsequently, he pursued postgraduate coursework in Chile and abroad specializing in international trade, economics, business administration and accounting.
During the early years of his career, he served as International Manager in exporting, shipping, insurance, and banking companies.
- He has been a professor at the Faculty of Law of the Universidad de Chile and other universities in various professorships related to business law and economic law.
- He has taken part in academic activities at Universidad de Buenos Aires, American University in Washington, D.C., and Oxford University, in London.
- He is a current member of the Institute of World Business Law and of the International Chamber of Commerce (Chile).
He has been designated arbitrator in various commercial cases such as partner disputes, corporate divestitures, maritime controversies, insurance, and others.
Mr. José Luis López Blanco has published several books and articles on topics of his professional specialty.
He has also served as member of the Supreme Tribunal of Chile’s National Chamber of Commerce.
